Now a days everyone wants a good image or reputation in society. To achieve a good image, any person’s personality plays the most important role. Personality is one of the main thing which Some people refer as the physical appearance of the person such as height, weight, color, dressing, etc. On the other hand, other peoplerefer to intellectual qualities like aptitude, energy, thinking and logical reasoning abilities, etc. It is sometimes also referred to social characteristics like friendliness, kindness etc. So in brief we can say personality refers to his/her appearance, characteristics, attitude, mindset and behaviour with others, Personality is an important thing in the life of a person that determines not only his professional success but also his overall behaviour and attitude in life.

Personality development is the process of developing a set of characteristics and traits which contribute to the overall personality of a person, Personality development is often confused with enhancing your dressing sense or just gaining proficioncy over English language. A person who dresses well and speaks fluent English isn’t necessarily supposed to have a good personality. Personality development is an all round development. Personality development cannot happen in a day. It happens over time. Personality development is nothing but the act of moving from an inert
and disinterested state of existence to a zealous, motivated and joyous living one.

In addition, a large number of external, inherent and acquired qualities contribute to build up the personality. These qualities include integrity, humility, self respect, etc.

All these factors combine to shape the personality of a man. These can not be
cultivated within a day or two. It should be inculcated from early childhood. Both parents and teachers have a significant role in the personality development of a man
